Vaniyambadi
News Update
We
are pleased to announce that phase 1 of the Vaniyambadi project
has almost been completed and although there is still some work
to be
done, children are already benefiting from the newly built classrooms.
At present 4 out of the 9 classrooms are in full time use with
the remaining 5 classrooms expected to become fully operational
for the start of the new school year in 2011.
When
completed the building will accommodate up to 315 children.
Already 150 are enjoying the benefits of receiving their education
in the
newly constructed classrooms and not sharing overcrowded classrooms
or having to learn in open fields as before.
Phase
2 of the project will commence early next year with completion
expected towards the end of 2011.
It has been a long and arduous road to accomplish so much with
so little
and in such a short time, but thanks to the kind donations and
everyone's help
we can see the fruits of their efforts. More importantly the children
can
enjoy the benefits and look forward to a brighter and happier
future.
